I started taking photographs when I was a kid in high school and I loved the ability to capture moments in time to share with others. While still in high school I worked professionally as a photographer for the local newspaper. I continued to photograph my favorite scenes throughout life with the idea that someday I would share them with others, but the right time never seemed to come. Finally, after successfully mastering several other careers, I decided it was time to make this happen. I invested several thousand dollars and upgraded my equipment and I began earnestly taking landscape and wildlife photos. I like taking pictures in the high Sierra Nevada mountains where I live but I also travel to other areas to get that perfect shot.
