I started taking photographs when I was a kid in high school and I loved the ability to capture moments in time to share with others. While still in high school I worked professionally as a photographer for the local newspaper. I continued to photograph my favorite scenes throughout life with the idea that someday I would share them with others, but the right time never seemed to come. Finally, after successfully mastering several other careers, I decided it was time to make this happen. I invested several thousand dollars and upgraded my equipment and I began earnestly taking landscape and wildlife photos. I like taking pictures in the high Sierra Nevada mountains where I live but I also travel to other areas to get that perfect shot. ABOUT THIS ARTWORK: NATURES GARDEN
The world can get a bit hectic and crazy at times to the point where you don’t want anything to do with it. I was feeling a bit that way when I took my walk one day. I decided to take a different route than normal and I am glad that I did because I came across this ideal spot to just sit and look at all of nature around me. All of the hectic crazy world just dematerialized and I was just me being me. The spot was so ideal that I decided that I would need to get a great photograph of this place so that anyone looking at the scene could do the same. When my daughter Miranda Clarity saw the photograph, she wrote a poem called Nature’s Garden and so the photograph was named. Here is her poem: I linger within Nature’s garden, Floating on her breeze, Dancing with her flowers, Laying among her weeds.
